Nothing new

There is nothing new in my life...just really busy at work getting ready for the Holiday's...I don't seem to have time for anything lately...alot of hiring and training...I'm so tired when I get home...just feel like my world is spinning out of control...and I can't catch up at home or at work...this picture is an old barn on a property that my Great grandparent lived on for a short time while Great grandpa Gay was working for someone...it seems so peaceful...so soothing...sometimes just wish I could have a minute to walk around the barn and relax...I know my time will come...but just seems like I never have time to just smell the ROSES..as they say...just saying

Saw you getting tired and a Cure was not to be.... So he put his arm around you and whispered "Come to me" With tearful eyes I watched and saw you pass away...Although I love you dearly, I could not make you stay, A golden HEART stopped beating. hard working HANDS at rest... God broke my heart to prove to me, he only takes the BEST...love & miss you DAD

A Week-end away...

Last friday Night we went to Plainfield Indiana with some friends to celebrate their daughter Lynette's 30th Birthday we went to dinner that night ...and listened to a band play... which was a little to loud... so we did not stay late..
The next day we went to the Indianapolis Zoo with them, this picture was taken as we walked in...it was a beautiful week-end... the high was 92 degrees
That evening we went to friends house that live near by Plainfield in Avon, Indiana....we had a barbacue... these friends had a smoker, a charcoal grill, a gas grill and one other going... I never saw so much meat cooking at once... Brats, chicken, pork Chops, hamburgers, hot dogs... some smoked ...some grilled...very good food... very good friends.
On Sunday we made our way back home... this was the first time this year that I took more than a week-end off... was good to get away...

53 years ago today...

Well I started this last Saturday.... never got it finished... to much going on...The girls bought me this cake for my Birthday... we had a few friends over for a Barbecue... I don't feel old....expect sometimes when I sit to long... takes a minute to get going....I am way to YOUNG to be this damn old... 53 YEARS....I remember thinking my Mom & Dad was old when I was a kid....and  they were much younger than I am now.....
