I have to share my spring flowers. I never really enjoyed flowers in my yard like I have since we bought the house in the spring of 2007. I always planted flowers in pots, and in a small flower bed in front of our old house, had hanging baskets, and always thought they were beautiful, but not like I do now. I love cleaning the flower beds, weeding planting new flowers to see what will come out in the spring. I try to stay with a yellow and purple theme, but do have a few other colors from flowers my mom and sister gave me. My sister gave me a rose bush when we moved in that was on my great-grandmothers farm a beautiful dark pink rose. Mom gave me some Lillie's, and my daughter in law gave me some pretty pink flowers that come later on , but are a beautiful green bush until then. Working in the flower beds are very soothing, you can solve alot of life"s problems when your outside in the sunshine, even cry a little if the moment strikes you. Just thought I'd share some of the beauty that is growing in my backyard.. some flowers are a little dirty from the rain, but I like them any way... My girls tell me I'm turning into my MOTHER

We had a busy week, this week with all the kids here .... We took them all to the mall and had our picture taken with the easter bunny, colored eggs for the confetti eggs, made jiggler eggs, cinnamon rolls for our easter brunch, went out to eat as a family. The guys went to the movies one night while the girls colored eggs.
Got up early on easter and had a brunch, an easter egg hunt, smashed confetti eggs on our heads.... the easter bunny came to granny and papa's house.. lots of candy. only two accidents during our fun... Kevin fell in a picker bush and bailie and levi ran into each other during the egg hunt and Bailie ended up in flower bed dirt...all before noon... all was fun!!!

Happy Birthday K

Yesterday was our daughter in law's K 39th Birthday.... We think she is one of the BEST things that has come into our FAMILY.. She is my favorite daughter in law, I can say that because she will be my only daughter in law. She came into our FAMILY over 12 years ago. She is so good to our SON and LOVES him very much. They have made a good life together. She has given us Three beautiful grandchildren that are very special to us. She is a stay at home MOM and I think she loves being home with the kids now and the time she can spend with them and all the activities they are involved in. She loves to be involved in the things at her church and spending time with my sweet sister in law B and her two daughters. I love it when calls me for advice on cooking something... it always makes me feel good. She also loves spending time outside working in her yard and in the flower beds... WE can't wait to se her tonight as they will be here for a couple of days... We miss having them across town now that they live in Michigan, but we know they are happy there. Happy Birthday Kim, love you!!!!!

Happy Birthday Zesa

This is our sweet Zesa, that is what Baby K calls her, yesterday was her 28th Birthday!!!! I can't believe that she is 28 already, seems like yesterday I was lying in the hospital bed because she was trying to come early. She was born 6 weeks early but she was healthy and strong from the very beginning.... maybe that is why she is sooooooo stubborn. She is very giving, from the time she was a small child if she had a piece of candy or a cookie she would share with others and forget to save any for herself. She is the best MOM, she takes such good care of her daughter and is very patient with her. She is so smart and a very hard worker... She can build anything... wish I had that talent... if she can draw it she can build it. She loves her Big Brother and her sister... she loves spending time with them, and making up for the time she missed them when she was in the Marines. We are so proud of her and look froward to what Life brings her as she goes back to school to finish her degree. Happy Birthday Zesa we love you!!!

Happy Birthday Pie....

This is my granddaughter Miss B, her mom calles her PIE... She is ten years old today. We were able to be at the hospital in the waiting room, waiting for her to be born ten years ago. We saw her only minutes old and she was beautiful. Lots of dark hair, beautiful eyes and just as cute as could be.. our 2nd grandchild but first GRANDAUGHTER. She is very smart, she loves to read and is quite a dancer.... She gets upset sometimes because she is the middle child, but is very special in her own way. Granny and Papa love her very much. We miss her so much now that they are hours away. She looks like my son when he was a little boy , beautiful blue eyes...dimples on each cheek... cute as a button inside and out. We love you Miss Pie... Happy tenth Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!
