Happy 12th Wedding Anniversary

Today is Troy & Kim's 12th Wedding Anniversary.... Such a great couple, they were made for each other... I think God created her for him... sometimes I think about the
moves we made in our life and wonder if we made the right choices to move to Indiana... and then I realize she was one of the reasons it was a good move... Troy would not have this wonderful, beauiful person in his LIFE if we had stayed in Michigan...

These three beauiful grandchildren they have given us...These are the BEST things in life..Your a GREAT couple and we love you!!!!!! Have a great 12th Anniversary

GOING TO THE DENTISTS FOR THE 1ST TIME

Today was the first time Kaya went to the dentist, at first she was a little afraid
to go, we explained that they were probabaly only going to show her around and to show her the tools they work with






When they took her in, she told Teresa that Mommy's had to wait outside,
the room was like a big fish tank...





When she got home,she told me about how much fun she had and she was not scared

BLOCK PARTY

Yesterday we had our annual Block Party in our neighborhood. This is our 3rd one since we moved here. We go the the police department and get permission to block the street on both ends. The parks department provides the picnic tables, then everyone brings a dish to share, there is a $5.00 charge for each person that goes towards the chicken, paper plates, cups etc.... We set the picnic tables in the middle of the street, set up games such as bags, horse shoes, the kids have a big blow up that they can jump in, music is playing on speakers that one of the older gentleman had running from his house. This year it was music from the 40's... sometimes some of the teenager boys will bring out their guitars and play country music and sing. WE had some people bring their firepits and the kids roasted marshmellows after dark. The food is always good, in fact when the invites goes out, if you have made something in the past that everyone likes, they tell you that you can't come unless you make that dish..LOL... The older ladies that have lived in the neighbborhood since the first house was built in 1960 sit around and gossip about things that have happened in the neighorhood in the past, or sometimes about the the present too. They are busy bodies and they know everything that is going on.... but they mean well. We feel really safe here.. because they do watch everything. The police would be here in a moment while we are away, because they are so watchful. We had a really good time after a very stessful week. It's always good to meet the new people in the neighborhood, I love living on this street, everyone is so welcoming and make you feel like family.

Saying good-bye was very hard today... as I know it was for grandma...such a good man, loved his wife with all his heart and loved his family... we will miss you George

Sweet George

Our sweet George went to Heaven this morning after a year long battle with cancer....George was unlike anyone I have ever met. He always had a sweet smile on his face, he loved each of us even though we were not blood related, but loved us as if we were.
He welcomed each and every grandchild into the family the last being Torry Jr. born just a few months ago. He was the GLUE that held this family together. Everytime he talked to me either on the phone or in person he never hung up until he asked how's or mama doing? Dear George I'm sure your buddy's at the donut hole will miss you each morning when they are having their coffee just as we will, but I'm sure your having coffee with my Dad at the donut hole in heaven... love you and will always miss you....

The time is getting close for our sweet George, we pray that God will make him comfortable as we gather close to him, and his family is close by.
