Happy birthday Mom

Today is my Mom's 71st Birthday, thought I would post some pictures of her as a child... Everyone thinks of her as Grandma, but she was a child a beautiful child....
She married young like folks did back then ... raised seven children... made good meals... then there was Grandma Phyllis.. She loves to read, work in her garden and cook... She still has very good friends with girls from her childhood that she still sees from time to time.. Dad & Mom loved to travel and go on Vacation when they could .. loves country music... and to go to church... Have a Happy Birthday Mom.. Love you!!!

53 years ago today...

Today would have been my parents 53rd Wedding Anniverisary... My mom said that today's weather was alot like it was on that day... a long time to be married..

Today is my brother Tim's Birthday... he was born on Valentines Day!!!!! he was my Mom's valentine that year!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday Tim... and a very Happy Valentines Day to everyone... hope you get to spend it with someone you love!!!!!!!!!!

I feel bad because I don't as much time with her as I did with her brother & sister... but I do love her... she can make the worst day seem bright again... looking at these pictures of you reminds me of the good things in my life....

Happy 12th Birthday

Twelve years ago today our Levi was born...We were so excited to have our first grandchild, and the girls to be Aunts for the first time. We got the call that Kim & Troy were ready to go to the hospital. We thought it would be a long night so I packed some snacks and soft drinks in a cooler along with lots of reading material. We arrived at the the hospital and found out that we beat them to the hospital... so of course my family had to make fun of me. We really did not wait long (about 3 Hours) when we got the news that it would not be long....And that is what this first picture is about... my family snapped a picture of me in all the excitement... so I said well it's my turn to to take a picture of you guys.. when I snapped the picture they all made a face to make fun of the face I made... they are so silly.... About 30 minutes later the doctor came out and told us we had a BOY...a BOY... we could not belive it was a BOY.... we could not wait to see him... within 5 minutes they let us in, and we were able to hold him... he was beautiful.. red hair ... looking around just like his daddy did when he was only minute old... Joe was saying the whole time that he did'nt want to be a grandpa and that he was'nt old enough... Well Levi took hold of his heart strings and he has never been the same since...We are so proud of Levi.. he is the sweetest young man..gets good grades in school... loves to play ball just like his dad...loves his mom,dad & sisters.. Happy Birthday Levi... thanks for coming into our lives 12 years ago today, you have brought more joy to our life than you will ever know...

World's Greatest Dad

I know I am a day early, but I have to work early tomorrow, so I started making this smile box on Thursday so that I could post it by the 25th
One year ago tomorrow my sweet Dad left this world.... I was able to be there with my Son Troy , Sister Connie & Cousin Eric as he took his finally breath..and slip away peacefully to heaven. I cannot put into words how much I miss him.... LOVE YOU!!!
