The House that built me

As I was riding home from work in the car, listening to the radio, Miranda Lambert was singing the house that built me.  It made me think of my mom, and as a child I would find house plans that my mom would draw as she was dreaming of a house of her dreams. She would detail it with sink, countertops, door ways etc....etc. Dad ...would build new walls, counter tops, move rooms, add on rooms for years. Many years we lived in a unfinished home, because they could only do something as they could afford it. Not sure if mom got the home of her dreams, but dad tried to do it with what he knew. Now the house no long has the sound of 7 children running and playing and probably is to big for mom now. It was the house my dad built and raised 7 children in, a yard that vegtables grew in, raised rabbits, had dogs and cats...sand that we played in....the house that made me.

This is the first snowman of the season....until now...we did'nt get enough snow to make one...but I really have spring fever...I know it's only February....but I want to get my hands in the dirt...

Well the New year is here....2013...time is going so fast for me..my oldest child Troy Micheal...just turned 40...Happy Birthday Troy...Love you!...

Signs of fall already

It's only August 18th...but the signs of fall are here...we have the windows open...about 68 degree's
the leaves on the tree in the front yard are turning red....scary....my flowers don't look so good..

Happy Mother's Day everyone!!!...my 3 reasons...for what life is about!!

Just wanted to post my favorite flower that has been blooming all week...My purple Clemtis...love this...I have three of them...two on the side of the garage...and one in the back...I want to get out to work in the flower beds again...it's either rainny or cold here this month. I need to finish what I started in March. I still have to finish cleaning up the flower beds along the garage and in back of it.
Just need some warm weather. Hopefully I can get the pots put together on Thurdsay and get them out. I have 13 large to plant, 8 hanging baskets...and 6 that are in an iron stand in the garden...love my flowers

A Beautiful week

For over a week now, in the middle of March...we had 80 degree temps...I worked in the flower beds on my days off...we took bike rides on the bike path...and also a few walks...can get over how nice it is or how my flowers are coming up...unreal...just sayin...and my legs and butt hurts too...just sayin

The smell of Spring

Yesterday was the first day of spring...I love it...the past week has been beautiful weather...70's & 80's Last Thurdsay I cleaned out the garage. On Sunday worked on some of the flower beds...still not done..we took walks, bike rides on the bike path..all before March 17th....the weather is great...I', sitting here at 5:30am in the morning, before work...windows open in the dinning room....birds chirping...a breeze of clean spring air coming in...68 degree's...they say high of 84 on March 21...how unreal is that....sipping my coffee...OOOP...have to go to work...but tomorrow...in the flower beds again..love it

It been a long time since I made an entry...sometimes not enough time in my days sometimes...This is going to be a great year...forgiveness, love, organizing, weight loss...are all things I have plans for this year...love everyone, even when love is not given back...listen take time for family and friends...life is too short...and have the greatest year ever...

A morning at the outpatient Hospital

We spent the morning at the Outpatient Hospital for a small problem Joe needed taken care of. We had to be there at 6:30 am they started at about 8:45 am and was done about 10:25am. No matter how big or small the problem is, it is very stressful sitting there waiting for the Doctor to come out and talk to you. After about an hour and a half in Recovery...I brought him home...he is sleeping like a baby...it's always hard when it's someone you love......

Great Grandma Gay's Roses

In 2007 for a house warming, my sister Connie gave me a starter Rose from the rose bush that was on my Great Grandma Gay's Farm. I did not know much about flowers then, but thought I would at least try to make it grow. Turns out I have great soil, and found out I love my flower beds. The one next to the garage is the one she gave me, since then I have divided it 7 more times. I have one in the back flower bed, and this spring I had two more starters, so I put them behind the garage. I now have a total of four in my yard. The other 4.... I gave to friends...they are beautiful, but do get out of control..I cut it back sometimes, but I think it only helps it...what do you think
